If your KTX ticket is not showing in Korail+ after booking, do not buy the same journey again until you have checked whether the original booking produced a usable ticket. Start with the channel where you made the purchase. A ticket bought through the KORAIL website may need to be retrieved there rather than appearing automatically in the app.
Korail+ launched on August 3, 2026 as KORAIL’s new integrated rail app, through an update to Korail Talk or a new installation. Because tickets can originate from different booking channels, the safest approach is to check the system that originally issued the booking.
Start With Where You Booked the Ticket
The quickest way to troubleshoot a missing KTX ticket is to retrace the original booking channel instead of repeatedly refreshing Korail+.
| Where you booked | Where to check first |
|---|---|
| Korail+ while logged in | My Ticket in the same account |
| Korail+ as a non-member | My Ticket, then Non-member Login |
| KORAIL foreign-language website | MY TICKET on the KORAIL website |
| Korean KORAIL website using a legacy Home Ticket | The original website and Home Ticket issuance route |
| Third-party booking service | The service that issued the booking |
An empty Korail+ ticket list does not, by itself, prove that your reservation has disappeared or was cancelled. First establish where the ticket was issued and whether a usable ticket record exists there.
Check My Ticket in Korail+ First
If you booked directly in Korail+, open My Ticket and make sure you are using the same account or booking method used for the purchase. A ticket connected to a different booking identity may not appear just because you have signed into another account.
KORAIL’s current ticket FAQ tells non-member app users to open My Ticket, choose Non-member Login, and complete the supported authentication process to retrieve purchased tickets.
The Korean non-member flow can use services such as Naver or Kakao simple authentication. For an international visitor who originally bought a ticket through KORAIL’s foreign-language website, returning to that website may be more practical than trying to move the booking into a different login route.
If You Booked on the KORAIL Website, Check MY TICKET There
Travelers who booked through KORAIL’s foreign-language website should check the website’s MY TICKET area. KORAIL’s foreign-language FAQ directs train-ticket users to MY TICKET → TICKETS → CONFIRM TICKET to view a ticket.
You can start at the official KORAIL website for international passengers. Use the booking information connected to the original purchase instead of making another reservation simply because the ticket is not visible in Korail+.
If the KORAIL website shows an issued ticket, use that ticket record rather than treating an empty Korail+ list as proof that the booking failed.
A Card Charge Alone Is Not Your Ticket Confirmation
If your bank shows a payment or authorization but you cannot find a ticket, use the booking record rather than the bank notification as your practical confirmation before travel.
Check the original booking system for an issued ticket containing the journey details you expect, such as the travel date, departure and arrival stations, train, and assigned seat when applicable. If the booking system does not show a usable ticket, do not assume that a card notification alone means you can board.
This is particularly important after an online payment problem. The KoreaEasyTrip guide to foreign-card rail booking after the Korail+ transition also explains why travelers should confirm that a ticket was actually issued after payment.
If you cannot retrieve a ticket through the original booking channel, avoid submitting the same purchase repeatedly until you know what happened to the first transaction.
A Legacy Home Ticket May Not Appear as an App Ticket
There is a separate issue for some self-issued tickets from KORAIL’s Korean website. KORAIL’s official FAQ states that when a passenger originally selected the printed Home Ticket method for a self-issued ticket, the original issuance method cannot later simply be changed to the app ticket format.
This applies to the Home Ticket issuance method and should not be confused with every ticket currently purchased through KORAIL’s website. First identify which type of ticket your booking actually produced.
If your booking is a Home Ticket, follow the original printing instructions. KORAIL’s FAQ says that when printing is difficult, passengers can visit a station ticket counter and ask about having the ticket reissued as a paper ticket.
What to Do If You Still Cannot Find the Ticket

If neither Korail+ nor the original booking website shows a usable ticket, deal with the missing booking before departure rather than waiting until you reach the platform.
- Check the original booking channel again. Use Korail+ for an app booking and KORAIL MY TICKET for a foreign-language website booking.
- Check whether the booking was made as a member or non-member. Use the corresponding retrieval route rather than signing into an unrelated account.
- Keep your booking information ready. Save the confirmation email or receipt, passenger name, contact information used for the booking, travel date, train details and payment record.
- Do not repurchase only because Korail+ is empty. First determine whether the original transaction produced a usable ticket.
- Ask KORAIL if the record still cannot be found. Take the booking information you have to a staffed station ticket counter or contact KORAIL customer service.
KORAIL’s foreign-language website currently lists its customer service center as +82-1599-7777, with service hours of 08:00 to 20:00 Korea Standard Time. If departure is close, asking at a staffed railway ticket counter may be more practical than trying several different login methods on your phone.
If your train has already departed while you are trying to sort out the ticket, see our guide on what to do if you miss your KTX train in Korea for post-departure refunds, penalties, and how to book your next train.
Do Not Confuse an Empty App With a Cancelled Ticket
The practical rule is to verify the booking in the system that originally issued it. Korail+ is KORAIL’s current integrated mobile app, but travelers can still begin a purchase through different booking channels.
If your KTX ticket is not showing in Korail+, check My Ticket, your member or non-member booking method, and the original KORAIL website record before paying again. Make another reservation only after you have established that the first booking did not leave you with a usable ticket.
